Diversity pays off for law firms, a new global survey of corporate general counsel has found.
Very diverse legal teams get 25 percent more of clients’ total legal spending than teams that are not at all diverse, according to a survey released Thursday by Acritas Research Ltd., a marketing research company based in the United Kingdom.
Based on 1,771 interviews with senior-in-house counsel around the world, the survey found that only about a quarter of legal teams used by clients are diverse, but those teams account for a larger share of clients’ legal spending. They also get higher performance ratings, and they’re more likely to be recommended to clients’ peers than non-diverse teams, Acritas found...
