In late 2008, BNP Paribas Real Estate was quick to identify an opportunity to conduct thought leadership research in one of its core target markets. An authoritative, objective and thought-provoking campaign commenting on how banks are dealing with the road to recovery since the global financial crisis was the desired result.

The current market conditions provided an opportunity to stand out, through knowledge, and lead the sector in recovery and restructuring work. Acritas undertook 30 depth interviews with a range of contacts within the banking sector and followed this up with a web survey to tease out any further views from a wider respondent group.

Following a detailed analysis and interpretation process, an authoritative report was produced by BNP Paribas Real Estate and extensive press coverage, including in the FT, was generated as a result.
